Developing quantitative models from gene regulatory networks to microbial communities

About This Project

My motivation comes from identifying patterns and design principles in biological systems. My main projects include building dynamical models of microbial communities, studying neural induction during early embryogenesis of Ciona Intestinalis (collaboration with Yasuo Hitoyoshi’s CNRS lab and Geneviève Dupont at ULB), and setting the first steps of synthetic biology for Archaea together with Wim Vranken en Eveline Peeters at VUB.
